Your right to opt out

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in other U.S. states, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law.

Protectafi does not sell personal information for money. However, we do share information you provide (such as your name, contact details, and vehicle information) with vetted vehicle service contract providers and administrators so they can prepare quotes for you. Depending on your state's definitions, this activity may be considered "sharing" or a "sale."

How to submit a request

You may submit an opt-out request using any of the following methods:

What happens after you opt out

Once verified, we will stop sharing your personal information with our partner providers for the purpose of new marketing or quote generation. We may still share the minimum information necessary to complete a transaction you have requested, respond to your inquiries, comply with legal obligations, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We will require written authorization signed by you and reasonable verification of the agent's identity.
